We perfectly agree. Just as we didn't invent electronic music, strobo lights and subwoofers! Actually any creative act, including partymaking, is about putting together some already used elements and giving them a new configuration. The concept of 'benefit party' itself is so generic that it can refer to very different situations...ranging from a punk concert to a cabaret, to the kind of events we propose, focused on electronic music and disco esthetics. In any case, we are not funding our collective with benefit parties: party incomes are generally given to someone else. We do self-funding by other means.
