Afterparty in Linz

The party in Kapu was cool, for many aspects. Since the beginning we appreciated the  clean and powerfull soundsystem, and the concert hall was well equipped to rig lights. Thanks to that, in about 3 hours we finished to set up all our stuff, and we moved to the guests kitchen where our new friends had prepared for us a special austrian dinner: apfelstrudel mit vanillasosse!

We started playing at 10, with some flamenco and rumba songs, that fascinated the small audience of the beginning... Then PartyMaker Lammore got the control for a 2 hours electroclash-session, before the party crossovered onto  dance music. There where about 80 persons, split between our hall and the bar room, where other dj's were offering an alternative ambient for those who prefer ragga or punk to electro-dance. Most of the time there where almost only girls dancing at our rhythms, while the boys where sitting down, but some eighties hit made the party end in a more than acceptable way. At the and, thanks to the alcohol too, we allways manage to bring some radical punks to appreciate for some hours even dance music!

Another positive aspect was the solidarity cash, because people from Kapu charged an  entrance fee and also set up a coktail bar just for us. All in all we could send about 400E to the prisoners of S.Pere (Barcelona). By the way, we have to say that Kapu is a place given by the city council to a cultural association; squatting is almost impossible in Austria (the only squats are EKH in Wien (where we will actually set up a party next week) and a new one recently opened in Salzburg): anyways people made us feel at home and many of them were interested in the squatting movement in Barcelona and in the rest of Europe.
