Afterparty in Wien

Wow ! That's a hard job for a partymaker. Take one huge squat, a mostly punkrocker scene, a wednesday night, and 3 partymakers trying to make a discoparty, mix all that together and what you get ? Some really hard work !

Our party in EKH was not an easy one; despite the efforts of the people from the house, there were really few people coming to the party, and most of them weren't even used to dance to the disco beats. We organized a small informal talk to inform the people about the repressive situation in Italy, and about 20 people came to attend it; after that, we had the difficult task of starting a party! That's when a partymaker's skills are really put to proof.

DJMet and PMLammore tried to heat up the dancefloor with flamenco and electroclash, respectively, but the real hero of the night was TanzGirl: in her nearly 2-hour session she could somehow manage to build up a nice partying atmosphere, even if the hall was almost empty. So we gave a lot of use to our smoke-machine...

After TanzGirl finished her session, the party was virtually over, and we ended it with an 80s session who sent everybody to sleep with sweet dreams.

One very nice comentary about the party was made by one of the EKH squatters: "hey, you were playing capitalistic music, but you made me dance it !"
