Crossing Borders

Yesterday night we left Bologna, today we are in Croatia. It's just a few words to say it, but it was a hell of a long journey !

First of all, yesterday our crew was menomated when Monsieur Danny had to leave us and go back to Barcelona. We hope he will be back soon !

Things started to go 'not so smoothly' just after we crossed the slovenian border (I mean, the border between italy and slovenia). Romeo (our van) decided that it was time to give us some thrill & excitement, and the engine began coughing and stopping randomly leaving us defenseless on the highway. So we took the road to the first available slovenian village, looked for a mechanic, found one, got redirected to another one, got to the second one, and ended up doing one of the many routine maintenance tasks of a diesel engine: changing the gasoil filters. That's nothing special. but being much less than experts in mechanics, we got pretty nervous.

After that, Romeo got back to his usual cheerful mood. The slovenian landscape is really cool, and we were happy to hit the road again... until we reached the slovenian-croatian border and we met some not-so-cheerful border police. It was nothing really bad, but they made us lose 1 good hour searching all the van, ourselves etc. in the desperate effort to find some drugs and/or weapons. But they didn't consider that nobody with a brain would carry any drugs or weapons in a van such as Romeo, which has the power of attracting police eyes like honey for the bears.

Anyway, they finally let us go, and we reached Pula, where we found the Monteparadiso squat and our nice croatian friends. We were given a room which is more like a loft, with a billiard and an incredible amount of space. And here we are now, celebrating in the hacklab and waiting to set up the next party. Ah ! By the way. It will be on friday, not saturday!
